  • (1888PressRelease) March 09, 2011 - PMB Helin Donovan LLP, a member of the Russell Bedford CPA network and one of the largest accounting firms in the Austin, Texas region has merged with a 33-year-old Houston firm, McEvoy & Co. The union takes effect immediately and the combined practice will operate under the PMB Helin Donovan name.

    PMB Helin Donovan has had an emerging presence in the Houston market since opening a branch in 2006. All of McEvoy & Co.'s employees will become a part of PMB Helin Donovan, with a combined Houston presence of 20 employees.

    Houston operations will be led by the partnership team of Chase McEvoy and John Thayer from McEvoy & Co. and Mickey O'Neal and David Forrest, the existing audit partners in Houston for PMB Helin Donovan. Both Chase McEvoy and John Thayer have been named partners with PMB Helin Donovan.

    McEvoy & Co. was founded by Chase McEvoy in 1978, and provides tax, accounting, and business consulting services. It is highly regarded in the Houston area for its work in tax preparation and consulting to the medical and dental industries. To accommodate the growth associated with the merger, PMB Helin Donovan is expanding its office space at 3 Greenway Plaza, and will also retain the McEvoy office in the Galleria area.
