Runners Helping Runners Fundraiser
As a sponsor, Kinian is launching a fundraising campaign in an effort to help Amy Jacobson raise her goal of $5000 to be given to the AFSP for suicide prevention.
- (1888PressRelease) April 28, 2016 - Kinian is launching a 2 week social media fundraising campaign to help Amy Jacobson reach her goal of $5000!! All donations will go to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
Almost 14 years ago Amy lost not only one, but two brothers to suicide. Not long after that, she lost her father to the same tragedy. After years of suffering from PTSD and eventually hitting rock bottom, she decided not to continue down that same path and she made a positive change in her life. She started running. "I never could have imagined how much running would change, and save, my life. It has become my therapy, release, and religion." -Amy
In January, Kinian received an application from Amy requesting an "in kind" sponsorship for one of their RePose stretching tools. Amy was preparing for the Pittsburgh Marathon in May and needed to work on her flexibility. Amy's story was so impactful and effective that her application was immediately accepted. But Kinian wanted to do more than just give her a small in kind sponsorship, they wanted to help her reach her goal.
The fundraiser is about suicide prevention, but Amy's story was so positive, there had to be a positive element added.

On August 27th Amy is also walking in the Pittsburgh "Out of the Darkness" walk to fight suicide and Kinian wants her to walk that walk knowing she reached her goal! Kinian is also donating 10% of its profits from now until August 27th to Amy's charity.
