  • Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) August 09, 2011 - New industry player Back Page Magazine announced today that they will be selling the brand new recording "Face The Fire" by singer Rosemary Butler as a music download at their website. This track will be sold exclusively by Back Page Magazine and will benefit M.U.S.E. - Musicians United for Safe Energy.

The M.U.S.E. Benefit Concert takes place August 7th at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California and will feature performances by Crosby Stills Nash, Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne, The Doobie Brothers, Jason Mraz, and others. The concert benefits Japanese disaster relief and organizations promoting non-nuclear energy solutions. "Face The Fire" will have its debut at this M.U.S.E. benefit and will be unveiled at Back Page Magazine this week.

"Face The Fire," penned by late singer-songwriter Dan Fogelberg and released in the wake of the Three Mile Island meltdown, is still considered by many to be the "No Nukes" anthem, with its exhortation to turn to solar energy:

    "The waiting's over
    The moment has come
    To kill the fire
    And turn to the sun."

Rosemary Butler has had a storied 4-decade career, most notably as the backup and session singer for Jackson Browne, Linda Ronstadt, James Taylor, Warren Zevon, Rosanne Cash, Neil Young and scores of other legendary artists. For Butler, "Face The Fire" resonates personally on many levels:

"I've loved Dan Fogelberg and his music forever, says Butler. "I was also actively involved in the original anti-nuclear movement and performed on the "No Nukes" album and concerts. So, when the opportunity came along to do this song - and for this cause - I was electrified."

The track "Face The Fire" will also be featured on Rosemary Butler's new album, due out soon.

All proceeds from the sales of this Back Page Magazine download will go to M.U.S.E., including the songwriter royalties from the estate of Dan Fogelberg.
