Rosecrance Berry Campus presents free workshop on bullying for parents

  • Rockford, IL (1888PressRelease) August 05, 2014 - Rosecrance presents, "Bully-Proof Your Child," an open forum for parents to ask questions and discuss issues with professional staff and other attendees.

    This is a free event open to all members of the community. It will be held on Monday, Aug. 25, from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. at the Rosecrance Berry Campus, 8616 Northern Avenue in Rockford.

    Emily Gilliam, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with Rosecrance, will facilitate the event and discuss how to explain bullying to children, how to respond appropriately and how to seek help using school resources.

    The Rosecrance Parent Cafe is an opportunity for parents who may have general questions about their children's wellbeing to come together in a friendly and welcoming environment. A combination of education and discussion are provided to assist and empower parents to make informed choices about their children's welfare.

    Rosecrance's Berry Campus offers services for children and adolescents including: Mental health screenings, child and family therapy, intensive outpatient programs, community support, and 24/7 screening and assessment services.
