  • (1888PressRelease) June 07, 2016 - USA - Most ambitious and inspiring adventure powered by sharingXchange. A team of explorers & filmmakers embarking on an epic 22,000+ mile life-changing trip from Vancouver to Rio De Janeiro for the 2016 Summer Olympics and after continuing to Patagonia before returning back to the states on a mission to spread the word about the sharing economy and sharing in general.

Roll to Rio team is traveling on the west coast line within the US, where they started the trip from Seattle on May 14th. You can see more information about the trip on our website www.rolltorio.com and from the video for the Bulgarian National Television https://youtu.be/fFcD-lT5P00.

Our mission is to spread the word about the sharing economy and sharing in general. In addition we are promoting a healthier lifestyle, sharing the road and saving the environment this way. We will be filming a documentary and weekly web episodes on the way about people who are sharing their unique houses such as boats, tree houses, glamping tents and other cool places to stay that can be rented as short term rentals.

This trip is a continuation from our previous 55 day, 4,000 kilometer cycling journey through 12 countries from Sofia Bulgaria to London for the 2012 Summer Olympics. The trip was inspired by Mladen Belchev a Bulgarian who nearly lost his life when hit by a motorcycle while cycling. It was his dream to ride his bike to London, and his daughter Kate, to celebrate her father's survival, organized this ride. Mladen was joined by John Hazlewood and 10 others, and his dream became everyone's dream, to ride to London. Our team is on a mission to inspire others and spread the word about sharing while cycling to our next destination - Rio.

We want to share the experience and have people join us on the trip either through our webisodes and social media or in person and roll with us. Amateur cyclists can join at any point and ride their bikes to Rio while camping on beaches and having an adventure of a lifetime.
