  • Salinas, CA (1888PressRelease) August 13, 2012 - By popular demand, The Flying U Rodeo is returning to the Monterey County Fair with exciting free performances on Friday, August 31 and Saturday, September 1, 2012. New at the Flying U Rodeo!, Justin "Airtime" Ayres, a Professional Athlete / Motorcycle Stunt Rider, will perform thrilling stunts! On Sunday, September 2nd, the Fiesta Del Charro will be held which is a ticketed event.

    By popular demand, the Monterey County Fair is providing some more Rodeo fun at the Fair! The Monterey County Fair is again holding many exciting rodeo events during Fair week that will be fun for the whole family and celebrate our western way of life. This year's Monterey County Fair will feature live rodeo action two nights in a row at 6:00 PM! Friday, August 31 and Saturday, September 1st will feature kids mutton bustin', bronco riding, Motocross, bull riding and much more!

    September 2nd is the special Fiesta del Charro event which also features a Mexican bull riding event. It's a perfect way to spend an evening at the Fair with the whole family! The performances will be free with paid Fair admission on Friday and Saturday evenings, August 31st and September 1st. The fun starts at 6:00 PM on Friday, August 31st at 6:00 with a special Military Dedication.

    Sunday's Fiesta del Charro will be a ticketed event on Fiesta Day!

    • $25 for adults

    • $5 for children 6 to 12 years old

    • Kids 5 and under are free.

    Tickets to the performance will be sold at the door for $25

    About Justin "Airtime" Ayres - Professional Athlete / Motorcycle Stunt Rider

    Ranch raised cowboy turned Freestyle Motocross Superstar. Justin Ayres grew up in Eagle Point, Oregon. Justin grew up working as a cowboy on various Cattle ranches in Southern Oregon and Northern California. Justin attributes his hard work ethic and never quit attitude to being raised the "Western Way". From the age of 13 until the age of 17 he competed as a Bareback rider in Junior and High school rodeos. At the age of ten Justin started racing motocross. He subsidized his racing career from prize money and his daily wages working as a Ranch hand.

    In 2007 at the age of 20 Justin began his newest endeavor, Freestyle Motocross. Only six months in to his FMX career, he was hired by the Garden Bros circus for a 4 month tour. In May 2010 Justin finally reached one of his dreams, he conquered the backflip! He now performs multiple variations of the Back flip. He has trained and performed with the best guys in the business. In 2011, Justin was picked up by the infamous Flying U Rodeo Co. There he performed in Rodeos and Bull Ridings spanning across the western United States. Justin's busy schedule in 2011 did not allow him to compete in any competitions.
    Finally in the last month of 2011, Justin was invited to compete in the R.A.D. competition in Pala, CA.In his Professional debut Justin walked away as the Champion with his first professional title. "In order to stay on top you have to always be pushing the envelope of impossible" Justin says. Justin's true sanctuary away from the roaring crowds, screaming motors and death defying stunts is right where he began…. Horseback.
