ReRock 4 is back this January
This year ReRock 4 is being staged on Saturday, 14th January 2012, at Mount St. Mary's School, Delhi Cantt. from 2pm to 9pm.
- (1888PressRelease) January 05, 2012 - New Delhi, India: Started in 2009, ReRock is an annual concert reuniting legendary bands and artists from the 60's, 70's, 80's, and 90's onwards. This year ReRock 4 is being staged on Saturday, 14th January 2012, at Mount St. Mary's School, Delhi Cantt. from 2pm to 9pm.
ReRock 4 brings to the stage the music maestro, Loy Mendonsa, from the Bollywood songwriting team Shanker-Eshaan-Loy. Loy would be performing with his new musical project, Soul Reich, with Atul Ahuja on vocals. ReRock 4 also celebrates and honors Loy Mendonsa's lifelong commitment to rock music in India by awarding him the First ReRock Award. This concert marks ReRock's intent to be a national event by featuring bands and artists from all over India.
Amitanshu Das, ReRock'sFounder stated "ReRock brings generations together! Eschewing outdated notions of a generation gap or western youth rebellion against parents, ReRock identifies and lauds the general warmth, caring and love that tie families together. Parent-child jams and events are central to ReRock concerts and performances. This year it is being organized at Mount St. Mary's School to celebrate Golden Jubilee year with reunion and music. Our mission of ReRock fits the occasion of celebrating rock and reunion."
Each year ReRock comes alive, bringing back musicians who performed in earlier concerts and new bands reuniting for the show. This year the concert rolls over day long activities with special performances by four High School Rock Bands, DPS RK Puram, Sriram School Gurgaon, Montfort School Ashok Vihar and Mount St. Mary's, Amit Kilam of Indian Ocean with his band, Gravy Train, Contraband consisting of white collar professionals and the ReRock Remix Band consisting of musicians from legendary Delhi bands from the 70's and 80's, Electric Plant, White Fang, Applied For and Explosives.
