Renowned Author and Humanitarian to Speak at NVNA and Hospice's 90th Anniversary Celebration

  • Boston, MA-NH (1888PressRelease) October 26, 2010 - To mark its 90th Anniversary, NVNA and Hospice will host an evening of celebration on November 17th from 5:30 to 8:30 at the Cushing Center, 673 Main Street in Norwell. Guests will enjoy wine and hors d'ouevres followed by a special presentation and reading by Roberta Gately, humanitarian and author of Lipstick in Afghanistan, the story of an American nurse's life changing journey into war.

    Roberta Gately has served in third-world war zones ranging from Africa to Afghanistan. She has written on the subject of refugees for the Journal of Emergency Nursing and the BBC World News Online. She speaks regularly on the plight of the world's refugees and displaced.
