  • Orlando, FL (1888PressRelease) January 15, 2015 - Remington College School of Nursing will hold graduation ceremonies for its ninth class of graduates on Thursday, January 22 at 10 am at the Lake Mary Events Center.

Remington College School of Nursing's accelerated Bachelor of Science Nursing program is designed for people who already have a bachelor's or higher degree in a different field but want to make a career change and switch to the field of nursing.1

"Remington College School of Nursing congratulates all our new BSN graduates and applauds them on their dedication to the nursing profession," said Anthony Pennington, Dean and Campus Director. "They're ready to take the leap from students to health care professionals."

The Remington College School of Nursing has designed an accelerated program so that qualifying students who have a Bachelor of Science or Arts degree can earn their BSN degree in as few as 12 months.2

Generally, RNs with at least a bachelor's degree will have better job prospects than those without a bachelor's.3

"Our program is tailored for students looking to change their original career path," said Mr. Pennington. "We can help them prepare to enter the workforce in a short amount of time and work as registered nurses in a variety of health care settings." 1,2

Classes are held in Lake Mary. The program features modern classrooms and a clinical simulation laboratory, which contains human patient simulators, mannequins and medical equipment. The goal is to simulate the same challenges in the classroom that students may face in a nursing environment.

Remington College School of Nursing has developed relationships with more than a dozen health care facilities in the Orlando area to offer students clinical opportunities in addition to their classroom work, including the Orlando Health system hospitals, Central Florida Medical Center, and area health departments.4

The Lake Mary Events Center is located at 260 North Country Club Road in Lake Mary.
