Recording Artist Tanya "T6" Dormevil Attends The "Flavors Of The City" Charity Event
"Flavors of the City" is a food tasting charity event hosted by Follow That Girl NYC, an organization that empowers women to empower others.
- New York, NY (1888PressRelease) May 04, 2012 - Recording artist Tanya "T6" Dormevil attended the "Flavors of the City" charity event which took place on May 1, 2012 at the world famous Copacabana Rooftop 760 in the heart of Times Square. The event was created to raise awareness of domestic abuse and to benefit Socks 4 Tots, a non-profit organization that offers assistance to domestic abuse victims and their families.
The red carpet event was hosted by Taylor Armstrong, star of Bravo's hit TV series The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and New York Times Bestselling author for three consecutive weeks for "Hiding From Reality". The event was sponsored by companies such as Shinko Media, Vita Coco, Beach Bum, Copacabana, Liz Russell Aveda Salon, Izze Beverage Company, John Allan's, Zodiac Brand Management, Linnea Johansson, Xanté, Hint Water, Sazon, Muzita Bistro, and Emanuel Andren Gastronomy AB.
Other celebrities in attendance included The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Kathy Wakile as well as Dwight Eubanks from The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Rapid Magazine spoke with recording artist Tanya "T6" about her attendance and support of the event.
"I think it's amazing", Tanya spoke of the event. "This event will show that there is a strong support system for survivors of domestic abuse, I am happy to support any mission to empower women".
Throughout the evening, the guests enjoyed delectable cuisines prepared by some of today's most food-forward celebrity chefs. Among them were restaurateur, TV personality and author of "In A Cuban Kitchen" Chef Alex Garcia and Chef Joe 'JJ' Johnson, winner of Rocco's Dinner Party on Bravo. Other participating restaurants included Benjamin Steakhouse, BICE Ristorante, Mamajuana Café, The Counter, Sazon, and Circus Fine Brazilian Cuisine. Top-notch desserts were also served from standouts like Georgetown Cupcake Divas, Katherine Kallinis and Sophie LaMontagne of TLC's DC Cupcakes, and Sugar Flower Cake Shop.
