Ray Skillman Kia Indianapolis Dealer's Bestsellers Modified and Featured at This Year's SEMA Show in Las Vegas
KIA Motors unveiled special sports themed custom cars, including models that are available at the Ray Skillman Westside Kia dealership, at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show.
- Indianapolis, IN (1888PressRelease) November 16, 2011 - The event was held from November 1 to 4 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The show featured three specially modified Kia models such as the Rio 5-door, the Forte 5-door, and the Optima Hybrid.
These modified cars served to promote the line of bestselling vehicles by Kia. Brand new units of the Kia Rio, Kia Forte, and Kia Optima are all available at the Ray Skillman Westside Auto Mall, one of the leading Indianapolis car dealerships.
One of the cars is a joint project between Kia and Antenna magazine, a surfer-themed 2012 Rio 5-door. The "Radical Rio" has a sunset-metallic golden brown paint job with matching gold-colored wheels. SEMA Show attendees who took an up-close look at the vehicle found other beach-themed elements on this Rio, such as a custom body kit with real wood splitter and a roof-mounted surfboard.
The rear hatch compartment of the Radical Rio was also modified to accommodate an old school vinyl record player, shoe and clothing storage, and an 80s arcade style gaming console. Other modified vehicles in Kia's SEMA exhibit included a hockey-themed Forte 5-door with rear mounted interior storage for ice skates, helmets, and hockey sticks.
The "Slam Dunk" Blake Griffin Optima Hybrid, on the other hand, is a collaboration between the NBA superstar and West Coast Customs. The paint job resembles the texture of a giant basketball, with Griffin's personal logo on the hood. Other special elements include the player's autograph embroidered on the front headrests. Kia's SEMA booth also displayed the 2012 Rio B-Spec racecar developed in partnership with Kinetic Motorsports.
