Jewish Family & Children's Services to provide refugee and immigrant services utilizing RantNetwork's mobile platform "OPI Translate" to deliver advanced translation and on-demand live interpretation services.

HIAS affiliate Jewish Family & Children's Services has selected RantNetwork's mobile app "OPI Translate" to support its growing multilingual translation and interpretation needs in assisting migrants and refugees around the world. JF&CS will use OPI Translate for on-demand mobile access to live interpreters for on-site and 3rd party communications to support immediate refugee reception and placement support, including identification of needs and efficient allocation of services and assistance.

OPI Translate provides advanced translation features such as Voice-to-Voice, Photo Image Recognition/ Translation and Text-to-Speech features coupled with on-demand one-button access to live interpreters 24/7/ 365 days a year in 220 foreign languages. OPI Translate's network consists of over 8,000 certified interpreters with financial, technical, medical and legal domain expertise.

"As providers of critical needs to newly arriving refugees from around the world, we rely on interpretation to communicate. We are thrilled to have a new telephonic tool in the RantNetwork model that enables us to connect to a live interpreter without going through a switchboard. This process is faster and easier to use, especially in the field. As a result, our case work team is equipped with interpretation whenever they need it. We look forward to our partnership with RantNetwork in meeting JF&CS's needs in a multilingual world" says Leslie Aizenman, JF&CS' Director - Refugee & Children's Service.

Andrew Royce Bauer, RantNetwork's Chief Marketing Officer, explains his personal connection with refugee organizations including HIAS. "My grandmother and grandfather were refugees fleeing persecution from the Nazi's. When they arrived in New York, they didn't speak a word of English and had to overcome years of communication challenges to fully contribute to their communities. The ability to understand a language is one of the most powerful ways refugees can reduce the walls which stand in the way of freedom." Andrew also points out how OPI Translate can support refugees beyond the language translations, "OPI Translate is a tool for personal empowerment. Using this App helps a refugee forge meaningful social connections with their neighbors and feel more comfortable navigating the day to day complexities of their new environments."
