  • (1888PressRelease) October 21, 2011 - Warrensville Heights, OH - Pyramyd Air, the world's largest online airgun retailer, now matches their customer donations to the National Rifle Association's Round-Up program.

Pyramyd Air is a strong supporter of the NRA, which is a well-known defender of gun rights. In 2004, Pyramyd Air started participating in the NRA's Round-Up Program to enhance the organization's efforts. The donations fund the NRA's Youth Programs, which include national shooting championships; future grants to the NRA and other national organizations such as Boy Scouts of America, 4H and Future Farmers of America; and support for airgun training; and education programs.

During the checkout process, a customer has the opportunity to round up the total purchase amount to the nearest whole dollar (or contribute more or less, if desired) with the additional funds going to the NRA's program. The same option is available when the customer orders through Pyramyd Air's website or their call center. Donations are voluntary and at the discretion of the customer.

For the remainder of 2011, Pyramyd Air will match customer donations, up to $10 per order. Pyramyd Air's founder and owner, Joshua Ungier, said, "The NRA provides resources to new shooters that are often not available elsewhere. Their efforts ensure that young shooters are educated in proper gun handling, have the right equipment for a positive experience, and have continued shooting opportunities and training as they grow."

From March 2006 to the present, Pyramyd Air has donated $34,418.58 to the NRA's Round-Up Program. In 2011, customers have already donated $3,000. Pyramyd Air's matching funds brought that up to $6,000.
