    Eric M. Poders was born in Rogers Park then moved to and has been living since for 35 years in the Maine Township District 207 boundaries ever since; he currently resides in the Northeastern part of the district in Morton Grove, Illinois. Poders attended Washington School, Gemini Jr. HS and Maine East High School (Class of '89) then graduated with a B.S. in Communications Advertising/Public Relations from Bradley University in 3 years. He created a volunteer internship program in the Public Support division of the American Red Cross, Central Illinois Chapter, during the last 6 months of his undergrad while at Bradley University. Poders jumpstarted and built a multi-million dollar electronics company that was sold after 2 ½ years then travelled the world for 5 ½ years visiting 29 countries.

    His travels culminated with 2 years teaching primarily business as well as conversational English for 7 different language schools for a variety of major corporations and language schools including ECC, OTC, ALC and etc. Over the last 4 years, Poders has been a community builder throughout the area, facilitating information to local government & area schools and to local & national media outlets from attending 25-30 meetings a month including 7 school boards (Districts 63, 67, 69, 70, 207, 219 & 807) as well as bi-monthly village board meetings and all commission meetings in Morton Grove including Park District and Public Library meetings.
