  • (1888PressRelease) January 01, 2013 - Canam's Almaty office announces that it is now working with the EC "KAZGIPRONEFTETRANS" company, in order to participate on the project for Khazar development. Canam Pipe & Supply has been included into the list of the recommended companies for pipes, fittings, flanges and other oilfield equipment.

Khazar is an offshore oil and gas facility, rated at 50,000 barrel of daily oil production, with gas injected to the reservoir. As per current project schedule, the first oil date for Khazar development is estimated to be in 2018/2019. Currently, the project is at the tail end of concept selection phase. Feed will start in early 2013, follow by construction.

Offshore exploration becomes a more and more important direction as the latest survey results show that almost half of prospective hydrocarbon reserves in Kazakhstan is sea-related. The Kazakhstan sector of the Caspian Sea (KSCS) has the largest hydrocarbon reserves in comparison with other Caspian littoral countries.

Caspian oil of Kazakhstan may prove, to some extent, to be an effective alternative for the resources of the politically unstable Middle East region and will help to compensate the effects of the drop in production in other major oil and gas centers of the world.

Canam Pipe & Supply is increasing the worldwide distribution of oilfield equipment and also continues to develop its own product line to be able to consolidate the full line of Artificial Lift Equipment (we refer to the Twister progressive cavity pump).

The focus on quality is the main issue, as Canam continues to test and develop each and every product to assure that the standards of quality are maintained. The quality factor is also very important for the products found in Canam's distribution.
