  • (1888PressRelease) April 21, 2011 - There have been two new customer acquisitions of clients wishing to expand into Europe and there are now three more looking to complete set up in the Q2 of 2011. In Q1 2011 online sales and therefore, order fulfilment volume has been ahead of target, which shows that internet sales are holding up well after Christmas. Over half a million products were shipped by ProFS, in Q1 which is normally the quieter part of the year.

ProFS are now planning a major warehouse expansion with the primary focus being on the UK fulfilment centre in Cardiff and the European fulfilment centre in Switzerland. The purpose is to be able to facilitate the ever increasing demand for Pan-European distribution and warehousing services. CEO Chris Vautier explains, "The Cardiff centre could boast up to 80,000 sq ft of space in the not too distant future and we expect it to be our largest facility within 24 months."

Significant IT upgrades are also happening with planned extensions to the Warehouse Management System API available now and a new client portal is being developed. There are also plans to install new high performance and high availability servers during May. "As we increase in scale and service offering our technology infrastructure needs to keep up both in terms of capacity and capability," says COO, Michael Boarer.

Also on the agenda is recruitment and personal development. ProFS has now appointed a Head of Finance for the group of companies and are seeking to add a new Administration Manager into the Cardiff operation. ProFS has engaged a HR consultancy company to develop and implement an enhanced Performance Management Framework throughout the group of companies.
