  • (1888PressRelease) November 05, 2011 - The show's producers developed this initiative as an educational outreach to local college students studying television production. "Our show isn't as well-known in the all-important youth market," said Executive Producer, Paul Scott. "Since young people have so much to offer our industry, we wanted to start by engaging the students at Florida Atlantic University and surrounding colleges. When our Program Director, Kyra Burton, came up with this idea, I was excited to challenge these students and to move ahead with the contest launch".

The initiative challenges college students to create a 30: second video project showcasing some of Terry Bradshaw's "Greatest Moments". The entries are expected to be exciting and action-packed and winning videos can eventually be reviewed by Host Terry Bradshaw himself and played on the show's 24-hour a day Livestream Channel.

Here's how the contest works: Students will have until Dec. 7 to submit their 30-second video. Judges will select 3 finalists. To generate maximum buzz, Facebook Fans will be able to vote for their favorite finalists from Jan. 3 to Jan. 10. Using that feedback and other criteria, judges will pick one winner at the end of January. The winner's 30-second video will be played on Today in America's Livestream Channel throughout the entire first quarter of 2012. The winners will also get free tickets to a Florida Panther home game. For Today in America producers, the video contest ties into the company's focus on education and on technology. "We really don't know how far a contest like this might go, but since it ties into the education and technology focus of our show, we're ready to get it started" said Jim Nicholas, Vice President of Production.

To submit your video entry, please email your 30:second project directly to pr ( @ ) studiostaff dot tv. Each individual video will be reviewed by the show's Production Department.
