  • Dallas, TX (1888PressRelease) July 16, 2010 - The Patient Recruitment Organization (PRO) Steering Committee, a consortium of clinical trial subject recruitment and retention firms announced ambitious new awareness initiatives amid its election of Robert Loll as vice chairman during the 2nd Annual PRO Summit. Held June 17 at the historic Monaco Hotel in Washington, D.C., the summit drew executives from leading industry organizations, including Healthcare Communications Group, MMG, Praxis, The Patient Recruiting Agency, and D. Anderson & Company.

The group, which represents an unprecedented collaboration among competitors in the patient recruitment field, unveiled three key strategies for the remainder of 2010 including an established Code of Ethics, comprehensive marketing plan and aggressive membership outreach campaign. Officers said Code of Ethics development will take precedence over the latter two strategies, with an emphasis on establishing minimum standards and creating a directory of PRO-certified firms. These initiatives underscore members' collective goal of elevating industry best practices and promoting clinical trial pursuits.

Upon accepting the vice-chairman nomination, Loll reiterated the organization's objectives, stating: "The work of PRO is deeply important to me. I am committed to this new role and furthering the committee's mission of improving the understanding, quality and effectiveness of clinical trial patient recruitment and retention services within the pharmaceutical, device and biotech industries."

Loll, who has served on the committee since its inception in April 2009, is vice president of business development at Praxis. He will assume full chairmanship January 1, 2011, when present chairwoman Diana L. Anderson, CEO of D. Anderson & Company, fulfills her term.
