Party and costume supply company Private Island Entertainment LLC is giving back in a big way this Halloween season. The company is sponsoring a Guinness World Record event and is set to provide googly eye glasses to all of the kids at A Place Called Home, a youth center in South Central Los Angeles, on Friday, October 25th. The World Record Event will take place at 4:30 pm at A Place Called Home, located at 2830 South Central Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90011.

The record setting attempt will be a fun addition to A Place Called Home's annual Halloween Party. The charity puts on the event each year to provide a fun and safe place for the kids from South Central Los Angeles to celebrate Halloween. This year's event will be the first time that the charity has ever attempted to set a world record with the kids. Executive Director of A Place Called Home, Jonathan Zeichner, is really looking forward to the event. "Halloween is a fun scary time, but can also be dangerous in a bad way in our neighborhood, where it's really not safe to be walking after sundown. Every year we have a big Halloween Fest at APCH, and this year is going to be extra special as we set a new Guinness World Record-the kids are going to have a blast!,". Police Captain David Kowalski from the Newton Police Station and Councilman Curren Price from Council District 9 will be participating in the event and will also be on hand to help officiate.

Jon Glatt, President of Private Island Entertainment LLC, will be traveling to Los Angeles from New York to attend. He is very excited that his company will be providing the googly eye glasses for the kids. Glatt is passionate about finding fun and creative ways to give back to the community. Halloween is a busy time of year for the costume and party supply company and setting a world record is a great way to kick things into high gear for Halloween. Glatt is glad to be able to help give these kids a fun and unique way to enjoy a safe Halloween. "Setting a world record is a once in a lifetime opportunity and will be something the kids can remember being a part of for a very long time!" Glatt went on to say "As Halloween approaches, Private Island wants to encourage families to have a fun and safe holiday. Hosting this world record event is my way of helping promote Halloween safety AND fun for communities where it can be dangerous to be out after dark".
