PrescribeWellness Appoints Renowned Internal and Infectious Disease Expert Dr. Alfred Damus as Chief Medical Officer
Miami-based physician provides patient communications leadership to preventive healthcare technology company.

A Fellow of American College of Emergency Physicians (FACEP), Dr. Damus is the president of Physician Resources of America, a physician recruiting company, and CEO of Total HospitalCare, an emergency department and hospitalist system analysis and implementation provider, with expertise in electronic medical record documentation and communication for rural and critical access facilities. He serves as the chief medical advisor for Polypill Rx, a company that provides custom-prescribed, compounded multi-med capsules. He is chairman of the Medical Advisory Board for BIOIQ, a health testing, health screening and wellness solutions company.
Dr. Damus is a co-founder of Wingo Wireless, an organization that provides affordable high-speed internet to schools, universities, healthcare facilities and researchers, primarily those with an interest in HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment in west and central Africa. Wingo Wireless was founded on the belief that an Internet infrastructural backbone is essential to healthcare communication and education in underserved communities.
