  • (1888PressRelease) December 17, 2012 - Dubai - Is an exciting innovative product crafted using a combination of advanced scanning technology, proprietary software and the latest manufacturing techniques, developed in the UAE by PRECISE and driven by the vision of the company's Managing Director, Lothar Hohmann. Launched in Dubai in April 2012, TIM is an acronym for This Is Me - a life-like 3D model of an individual designed to capture memories for ever.

Since the launch of TIM, PRECISE has further developed the technology and processes to produce TIMbust (head and shoulders model) and TIMpic (3-D printed picture), as well as continuing to develop the process for use in architectural model construction, medical imaging and many other applications.

With 1,167 companies displaying new innovative products and services on 494,770 square feet of trade show floor space, vying for the attention of 15,800 qualified buyers from amusement parks, water parks, family entertainment centers, zoos, aquariums, museums, science centers, resorts etc, PRECISE Managing Director, Lothar Hohmann commented:

"We were inundated with visitors to our stand, interested not only in TIM, but all the personalized products and services developed by PRECISE. Seasoned buyers and entertainment executives were fascinated that such advanced technology applications had been developed in the UAE, and are now being rolled out internationally from our Dubai base. We were pleased with the decision to take a team of 6 people to the IAAPA Attractions Expo 2012, as we were all busy throughout the show."

Hohmann continued "whilst there are various exciting 3D printing applications being developed around the world, PRECISE is the first to offer competitively priced technology ready for use by retail outlets worldwide. A TIM business is very simple to operate because the retail outlet does the scanning and PRECISE takes care of the rest."

PRECISE continues to develop the technology, investing considerable time in R&D, and anticipates being able to offer previously unseen 3D printing solutions for a wide range of industrial applications within the near future.
