  • (1888PressRelease) January 19, 2013 - Creative Director of Plain English, Katie Fontana, spent the afternoon with the students, showing them around the showroom that she designed in 2009 and talking to them about the roots and ethos of the 20 year-old company, as well as her previous background in the Design industry.

"It was really interesting to see how the company has developed from the owner originally designing her own kitchen to becoming an innovative brand. As a style,Plain English is beautiful and classically British, and you can see the craftsmanship in it;it is certainly the most elegant of all the kitchen showrooms in London", (Nikkie Foster, Student at KLC).

The practical-driven course run by KLC, introduces students to the fundamental elements of good design and decoration, providing them with the knowledge and skills needed to forge a career in Interior Design. Through a series of workshops, course work, independent research and residential design projects, students practice the techniques studied so they may leave with an armoury of strong practical experience in their chosen field.

The certificate can be studied full time for ten weeks or part time, for two days a week, over three terms. Plain English's Marylebone showroom can be found at 28, Blandford Street, W1U 4BZ.
