  • New York, NY (1888PressRelease) June 21, 2013 - Famed phenom, Marcella "Ms. Lago" Araica, has swiftly burgeoned into a towering force as one of the music industry's hottest, most prolific producers and sound engineers. Igniting a powerful platform to share her coveted wisdom and encouragement gleaned from her enlightening experiences and arduous journey from Hit Factory intern to music engineering master, Araica celebrates the launch of her inspiring and uplifting Red Bottoms Foundation.

Unrivaled academic success and an influx of industry accolades inspired Araica to establish The Red Bottoms Foundation, which seeks to educate, empower, guide and nurture women with aspirations towards upward mobility in the entertainment industry. The foundation stands at the helm of industry influence as it nurtures a rapidly growing network of pioneering and enterprising professionals, who through carefully crafted programming, scholarship and mentorship opportunities, work to instill each participant with the determination and self-discipline to shatter glass ceilings in an industry that once held positions perceived as unattainable by women.

Foundation beneficiaries are positioned for accelerated career advancement through the solidarity of inspiring, supportive and influential mentors that zealously seek to groom a powerful community of courageous risk-takers who will burgeon into significant contributors to the world of entertainment. Partnering with the impassioned organization, Music Unites, Araica is currently designing a series of intensive songwriting/studio workshop classes for aspirant students.

The Red Bottoms Foundation was named in homage to designer Christian Louboutin's signature red-bottomed shoes, which to founder, Marcella Araica, personifies strength, grace and confidence - the very characteristics necessary to ascend in the industry. The foundation's blueprint is synonymous with the ability to empower a fearlessly creative mindset.

Among her innumerable coveted accomplishments in the music industry, Araica is revered for her remarkable professional achievements, over a decade of commitment to the music industry, and her momentous model career. A coveted graduate of Full Sail University, Araica was righteously commended as her alma mater acknowledged only 6 distinguished graduating members at this year's 4th Annual Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, of which included Marcella Araica, Class of 2002. This esteemed array of honorees included Dylan "3-D" Dresdow, Chance Glasco, Joey Morelli, Susan Rose, and Jeremy Vickery.

"I remember thinking 'I don't know what I'm going to do,' but I was able to go to Full Sail and pursue an amazing and exciting career as a music engineer," Araica remarked. "I'm proud of myself because I stood by me, I stood by everything that I believed in, and what I loved to do. There's no prouder moment for me and my family."

At this year's Grammy Awards, Araica found herself dueled between showing support for Chris Brown, nominated for Best Urban Contemporary Album "Fortune," mixed by Araica; and being present as producer and visionary for her thriving record label's (New Age Rock Stars) rising star, Luke James who earned a nod for Best R&B Performance for his sultry single, "I Want You."

Marcella has savored the opportunity to record and mix songs for world-renowned musical icons such as Duran Duran, Beyoncé, Britney Spears, Madonna, Justin Timberlake, Missy Elliot, Usher and other artists including Pink, Keri Hilson, Joe Jonas, and Nelly Furtado. She has also collaborated with revered super-producers Timbaland, Danja, and Polow Da Don.

In just a few short years this pioneering musical prodigy has already accomplished what most strive to achieve in a lifetime. As the recipient of two ASCAP Awards, prestigious Grammy nominations, inductee into Full Sail University's Hall of Fame and credited for mixing over one hundred chart-topping songs, Araica's musical prowess and triumphant career path have shattered the glass ceiling for women around the world.

    About Marcella Araica
Araica's life-changing journey from intern to groundbreaking sound engineer was an arduous one. Born and raised in Miami, Marcella graduated with honors from the Full Sail Production and Recording Program in Orlando, Florida with the Advanced Recording Engineer Award, which is only presented to a single deserving student each year. Even as a student, her diligent, laser-focused work ethic was recognized as exemplary.

At the suggestion of Demacio, Grammy-winning artist Missy Elliot gave Marcella her first big break by allowing her to work as a stand-in engineer after two short months on the job. Though inwardly nervous, Marcella performed as a diligent and self-assured professional; her proficient and creative talent matched with her swift musical intuition was electrifying. Due to her sharp talent and speed-efficient pace, Missy dubbed her "Marcy-a-lago," in reference to the Lamborghini Italian supercar. The moniker was amiably adopted and eventually shortened to "Ms. Lago."

In 2003, Marcella was introduced to Danja, who went from apprentice to one of the world's most celebrated producers under the tutelage of Timbaland. Danja grew to appreciate her tenacity and resolve; their chemistry, mixed with her revolutionary style, helped to achieve his sought-after signature "sound" and he recognized that Marcella's prowess would make her an indispensible asset to his production team. Since the forging of their partnership as New Age Rock Stars Records, Danja has joined forces with Marcella in the shaping, recording and mixing of numerous albums, giving rise to a multitude of chart-topping hits.
