  • (1888PressRelease) March 12, 2015 - Licensed through organisational development outfit, Conscious Leadership Consulting and Coaching (CLCC), Drive will be taught during a one-day program in Dubai to business people by a global master facilitator flown in from the US.

Surveys have shown poor performance in the UAE in terms of organisational engagement, with a recent poll by Bayt.com showing only 56 per cent of the UAE workforce is motivated, meaning nearly half are not performing at their best. The author, Daniel H Pink, believes the globally successful programme will help tackle the problem head on.

According to the author, when it comes to motivation, there's a hole between what science knows and what business does. He claims current business operating systems - often built around external, carrot-and-stick approaches such as money, rewards or ratings do not produce the most effective performance.

Mr Pink said: "We're very excited to bring Drive workshops to the GCC through the expert stewardship of CLCC and its elite team of trainers and facilitators. This dynamic leadership development workshop and implementation strategy has been incredibly successful in countries around the world including the US, China, Brazil, Canada, Singapore and Australia. We firmly share CLCC's belief the timing is perfect for leaders in the Gulf countries to look at their personal development from a whole new angle.

"The old organisational models are broken. We see it everywhere - in three decades of declining employee engagement, in organisations that are struggling to adapt, and in businesses and governments that could clearly be doing better.

"That's why cutting-edge organisations throughout the world are tossing out the outdated, mechanistic twenty-first century approach and embracing something new. Built upon five decades of social science, this new approach ensures workshop participants will challenge the existing conventions, which isn't just exhilarating - today it is the only way to survive.

"With the collective track record and experience of CLCC and our globally licensed trainers, we are sure we've found the perfect partner to deliver Drive to thousands of leaders at all levels of organisations."

The Drive workshop focuses on three factors Mr Pink believes are most important for maintaining workplace motivation - autonomy, mastery and purpose.

According to Mr Pink, autonomy makes work flow easier because people need to have what they are doing down to a science in order to be autonomous. Mastery then pushes this person forward because they feel they are getting better, and people like to do what they are good at. Purpose makes a person feel what they are doing is important, and that it is important they are the person doing it. When a person focuses upon understanding what these three factors mean for them and how to achieve each within teams, then motivation levels can be transformed.

CLCC founder and director, Triptta Neb, says: "The leadership development experts we've spoken with are all excited with the prospect of science-based development programs and workshops like Drive finally being brought to the industry in this region.

"We have really fallen behind in this part of the world, rolling out the same types of old school programs for our leaders and management teams for too long. Now it's time for change and the reaction from HR and development decision makers has been overwhelming.

"Drive and other progressive products have been spreading across the US and around the world, as organisations switch their attention to intrinsic, underlying factors and chemical processes of what motivates us to do better."
The one-day course takes place on March 18, 2015, at Le Meridian Airport, Dubai, before being rolled out across the Gulf. More information on Drive can be found at clcc.co/events

    Notes to the editor
CLCC was established in 2014 to help organisations and individuals achieve their true potential and wellness. The organisation focuses on three areas: workshops (public and in-house); coaching development programs and consulting.

The name Conscious Leadership Consulting and Coaching comes from the founders' understanding of what makes one leader stand out in their success from another. It relates to being conscious or aware of the leader's behaviours and how they can and do make a difference. This consciousness leads to self-management and exceeding expectations to the benefit of all the stakeholders.

Currently operating across the UAE, Oman, Bahrain, KSA, Qatar and Kuwait, CLCC brings to the market many years of experience from the founding partners in the fields of development, coaching and consultancy. CLCC adopts global best practices and the most innovative advances of behavioural sciences, neurosciences and psychology.
