The project is being constructed to enhance child safety around the swimming and provide an additional outdoor living area.
Many years ago, the project's homeowners had an unfenced swimming pool installed on their property. However, they need to improve the pool's safety features to protect the 14 grandchildren who now regularly visit their home.
Rather than simply installing fencing around the pool area, the homeowners chose to also construct an outdoor pavilion. The pavilion extends across one edge of the pool area and provides a large outdoor room for eating, relaxing and entertaining.
The pavilion is enclosed with commercial-grade, seamless tempered glass. The facility is raised above the pool to allow full view of pool activities. To access the pool, users must enter through a gate in the pavilion. Steps proceed down from the pavilion to the pool area.
The project accomplishes the owner's main goal of protecting children from accessing the pool without supervision. Plus, the pavilion provides an attractive outdoor living space that can serve additional purposes.
