  • New York, NY (1888PressRelease) November 01, 2012 - The Phillips Charitable Organizations has awarded a grant to Gillian Baker, a farmer located in San Bernardino, CA. The grant was awarded to assist Baker and her family with bills, house repairs, and transportation assistance.

Gillian Baker lives with her family in a San Bernardino area farm. Due to the location and structural circumstances of the Bakers' house, the heating bills became very high this past winter and Ms. Baker became unable to pay. Other heating resources were unavailable due to her house's structural and positional obstacles. Even worse, these high heating bills were accruing when Baker was investing time and money into restructuring her farming business.

After reaching out to Phillips Charitable Organizations, the charity cofounded by Infor CEO Charles Phillips awarded Baker with a grant to pay her heating bills. Additionally, the money from the grant will allow Baker to repair her van so she can transport her goods to area markets to grow her business.
