    Vaughan's practice focuses on all aspects of tax planning, with particular emphasis on taxable and tax-free corporate and partnership transactions. She also advises nonprofit and tax-exempt clients in seeking and maintaining federal and state tax exemptions.

    Vaughan previously was a manager in the national office of Ernst & Young, LLP. She has extensive experience counseling businesses regarding the tax consequences of transactions and negotiating tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, credit agreements and licensing agreements.

    After graduating from Duke University with a degree in political science in 2003, Vaughan went on to earn her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2006. She most recently received her LL.M. in taxation from New York University in 2010.
