  • (1888PressRelease) September 05, 2012 - Petromex Industries is an independent company involved in the exploration, development and production of oil and gas properties, with operations based around the Maloob oilfield in the southern Gulf of Mexico and the Poza Rica oilfields in Veracruz state have today released a report stating that the demand for qualified engineers will grow exponentially toward the end of 2012 and the beginning on 2013 due to a result of ever growing oil and gas exploration.

Petromex Industries CEO Mr. Andres Santillan explains the recruitment patterns that the oil and gas exploration company has experienced, "The fascinating part of the expansion within the oil and gas sector is that it is not just the engineering and construction industries which has vastly improved, but also the need for more support services. We have seen a vast increase in the demand for staff such as chemists, analysts, flow technicians and engineers, as well as an increase in demands from sub contract industries as the paint and additive sectors. "

Petromex Industries CEO went on to say, "It is all very good news for the oil and gas industry, but there is now a shortage of experienced candidates and this shortage will grow in 2013, as over the last 5 years many of the world's oil and gas professionals in these fields have moved to the Middle East and Far East for financial reasons. We are starting to see these professionals return to their own countries, but also notice that a number of companies in these areas are recruiting junior and fresh graduates and offering fast track training schemes to try and combat the shortage of suitable workforce, this is fine in the long run but you can't buy experience and this is where the industry is failing at this moment in time."
