  • (1888PressRelease) October 24, 2015 - This Friday will be a special day to Believers' LoveWorld, a global Ministry that is also known as Christ Embassy. On this day the founder of this world-renowned organization, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, will receive an honorary Doctorate Degree in Divinity from the Benson Idahosa University. This special convocation will be a colorful ceremony that will be held at the university auditorium starting from 10am. It will be yet another feather in the academic hat of this dedicated man of God following the honorary Doctor of Science he recently received from the Ambrose Alli University (AAU).

This latest accolade is undoubtedly well deserved as the Christ Embassy founder and leader has proved himself to be the "humane man of God" he has been described as in the past. His commitment to the spread of the gospel can be seen in the large network of churches and student fellowships that he presides over as the head of BLW. This ministry encompasses the Healing School and worthy of special mention is the International School of Ministry through which the pastor imparts wisdom from God's Word. His teachings equip ministers of the gospel from all nations and empowers believers to lead victorious lives.

His philanthropic works have also earned Pastor Chris Oyakhilome the admiration and respect of many. In AAU, which happens to be his alma mater, the pastor funded the construction of the fully air-conditioned LoveWorld Multipurpose Hall where his convocation ceremony was eventually held. Besides the hall, he donated a 100KVA backup generator and 95 solar-powered street lights to the institution. The InnerCity Mission for Children is another demonstration of how much the pastor has invested in the care and education of destitute children. This NGO initiated by Pastor Chris offers meals and free education to more than 10,000 children in Nigeria.
