  • (1888PressRelease) January 30, 2019 - The event provided an avenue for thought leaders in TA to network with other professionals in their industry, and share perspectives over panel discussions, networking sessions, and an enjoyable game of golf.

The event started with registrations at 9am and ended with high tea at 4pm. Over the course of the day, attendees discussed keeping up with rapid changes in the tech industry by building a strong positive brand culture to attract the right talent.

The first panel of the day brought together Anantha Radhakrishnan, CEO of Infosys BPM, and Raghu Dwarakanath, Vice President and Country Manager India at TiVo to discuss their perspectives on the future of talent acquisition. They talked about the importance of keeping up with technology, learning new skills on the job, and developing a culture that attracts premium talent. The panel was deftly moderated by Pooja Joshi, Director - Talent Acquisition, Diversity, and Inclusion at Qualcomm.

The end of the first session saw Kaveri Karnam, COO of Peepal Consulting, take the stage to unfold various recruitment trends of 2018. She talked about the domain that got the most focus from recruiters — digital and analytics — and the biggest challenge in the recruitment process — scaling up.

The second panel discussion was aptly named ‘Fire @ the CEO: TA wants to know’, and gave attendees the chance to shoot questions at a panel of three company leaders — John Kenny from KAS Services India, Vikram Nanwani from Xylem Inc, and Viren Bhatia from Koch Technology Center. The trio inspired the audience with their insights into ways of building the right culture at companies and of developing the right mindset to attract talent.

After lunch, the attendees were given the opportunity to take golf lessons, providing a change of pace from the earlier sessions of the day.

The roster of attendees included TA heads from cities such as Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, and Fortune 500 companies such as GE, Qualcomm, Goldman Sachs, Oracle, and Infosys BPM. This year’s retreat attracted twice as many leaders as last year’s, building an exciting trajectory for TA Dialogues.

This event was made possible with the support of five partners, including co-partners Peepal Consulting, Platinum Sponsor ALD Automotive, Gold Sponsors reckrut.com and Thomas Assessments, and Digital Outreach Partner Pink Lemonade.

The venue for the event, Prestige Golfshire, was chosen to give thought leaders the chance to discuss the future of the talent acquisition domain in a premium location. The club was a fitting venue for a networking event of this scale — from the spacious conference room to the picturesque golf course, attendees were kept comfortable and engaged throughout the day.

The event was equal parts insightful and inspiring, encouraging TA Dialogues to continue its mission of strengthening the Indian talent acquisition fraternity.
