Oracle announced the availability of Oracle Documaker Enterprise Edition, the next generation of the company’s market-leading solution for creating and managing enterprise communications. The latest release delivers adaptive enterprise content – better, more competitive communications, when and how customers and other stakeholders want it.

Oracle Documaker Enterprise Edition features a redesigned, Web-based iDocumaker module that improves communications throughout the customer lifecycle. Relying on rules-based configurability, a content library and embedded workflow, iDocumaker enables any user with an Internet connection to quickly and interactively create and assemble compliant communications, such as letters, policies and ID cards, from their desktops.

The new Document Factory in Oracle Documaker Enterprise Edition lets business users leverage a single administration point to assemble and publish consistent content across multiple channels including print, e-mail, Web, short message service (SMS) messaging and more.

The Oracle Documaker Document Factory helps organizations reduce cost and improve efficiency through better management of enterprise publishing operations. It includes dashboards, analytics, reporting and an administrative console to improve visibility and control.

Business users are empowered to create and customize content faster, without reliance on IT, through easy-to-use interfaces and tools such as Documaker Word Add-In, iDocumaker and Documaker Studio.

Oracle Documaker Enterprise Edition also includes additional multi-language support to assist global and regional insurers in the design, production and multi-channel distribution of communications worldwide.

Oracle Documaker Enterprise Edition leverages many Oracle technologies: Oracle Application Development Framework for all interfaces; Oracle BPEL Process Manager for workflow; Oracle Universal Content Manager for content management; and Oracle Fusion Middleware.

“SMA’s research reflects that the maximum value can be gained from investments when Enterprise Document Automation (EDA) is viewed holistically and all forms of communication and all types of information are integrated across the entire enterprise,” said Deb Smallwood, Founder of SMA Strategy Meets Action, a leading Insurance analyst and consulting firm, and co-author of 3CM in Insurance: Customer Communications and Content Management published November 2010. “Insurers that choose an approach that takes all communications, both structured and unstructured data, coming into the company from a wide range of channels, and then create seamless flows of information will have a real competitive advantage. This capability will soon become essential for selling, servicing, and ultimately driving growth through new business and retention.”

“Insurers and other organizations need enterprise document automation that puts the power to manage the complete document lifecycle in the hands of the business user,” said Srini Venkatasantham, vice president, Product Strategy, Oracle Insurance. “Built with features such as rules-based configurability and interactive processing, Oracle Documaker Enterprise Edition makes possible an adaptive approach to enterprise document automation – documents when, where and in the form they’re needed.”
