  • (1888PressRelease) November 10, 2010 - AURORA, ILLINOIS - Optimum Nutrition (ON) held a ribbon cutting ceremony to open an expanded laboratory complex at its Aurora, Illinois headquarters. This new Technical Support Wing, adjoining the 150,000 sq. ft. company owned and operated protein bar and powder production operation, will dramatically increase the company's sports nutrition formulation and testing capabilities.

    The complex includes Research & Development and Quality Assurance laboratories equipped with the latest technological advancements and enlarged to accommodate a growing team of food scientists. The complex also houses a new Microbiology Laboratory which will provide extensive microbiological testing capabilities.

    "This state-of-the-art Technical Support Wing will serve as the foundation for new product development initiatives and strengthen our ongoing efforts to continue to raise the bar for superior quality and unmatched consistency," said Gwen Meyer, ON's Director of Innovation. "This new facility will play an integral role in Optimum Nutrition's global expansion."
