  • (1888PressRelease) July 13, 2011 - London - The acquisition of BRADTEC DECON TECHNOLOGIES LTD will enable ONET TECHNOLOGIES to further enlarge its portfolio of technological solutions for decontamination, a field in which ONET is France's leading operator, while underpinning ONET's strategy for international expansion and simultaneously benefiting BRADTEC.

"Working with ONET TECHNOLOGIES will bring real added value and will underline our respective areas of technical expertise," says David Bradbury, former Director General of BRADTEC DECON TECHNOLOGIES LTD, and newly appointed Technical Director of ONET TECHNOLOGIES.

Through its integration into ONET TECHNOLOGIES, BRADTEC will find new openings for its processes among the numerous dismantling contracts managed by ONET TECHNOLOGIES, both inside and outside France.

BRADTEC, which is based in western England, has been developing decontamination technologies in support of nuclear decommissioning for more than 20 years. In particular, the British company holds EPRI DFD and DFDX (Chemical Decontamination Process) operating licences. (The Electric Power Research Institute, or EPRI, carries out research for the electrical-power industry in the USA.)

ONET TECHNOLOGIES is a key player in the civil nuclear industry. For several years already, the group has been pursuing an international development strategy based on setting up overseas subsidiaries - in Bulgaria, Great Britain, India, Italy and Romania, among other countries - and on establishing long-term partnerships with other companies in the sector.

Dominique Mouillot, president of ONET TECHNOLOGIES, explains: "ONET TECHNOLOGIES aims to increase its overseas turnover to 30 % [of total ONET TECHNOLOGIES sales] by 2020."
The synergy between ONET TECHNOLOGIES and BRADTEC will further boost the technological and innovative capacities of both companies, as well as providing them with a renewed and enhanced competitive advantage.
