  • West Palm Beach-Boca Raton, FL (1888PressRelease) May 01, 2013 - There has yet to be a reality TV series set in Boca, but that didn't stop award-winning Boca Raton magazine from casting five accomplished local ladies for a highly anticipated feature in its May/June 2013 issue. The magazine selected iconic One Thousand Ocean as the backdrop for an article called "The Super Housewives of Boca Raton."

"We were looking for an over-the-top furnished home or condo for a conceptualized story involving some prominent local women," said Kevin Kaminski, editor of Boca Raton magazine. "We thought One Thousand Ocean would be the ideal venue."

"When Kevin approached us with the idea-and said he couldn't think of a more fitting backdrop for this article, which will be mostly pictorial-we readily agreed to allow his creative team to photograph these 'Housewives' in one of our new, move-in-ready residences: $6.4 million Signature Penthouse 601. It's the same residence that provided a key scene in the action thriller 'Parker' starring Jennifer Lopez and Jason Statham, which premiered on Jan. 25. Boca Raton magazine took some shots from other locations while they were here as well," noted Jamie Telchin, president of development for LXR Luxury Resorts & Hotels. An LXR affiliate developed the Ocean-to-Intracoastal building, which is located on the tip of a private peninsula, surrounded by water on three sides, and adjacent to the Boca Raton Resort's Boca Beach Club.

"This is not the first time One Thousand Ocean has been in the pages of Boca's premier city magazine. Because of the unique, modern architecture of the building, its prime location and exceptional panoramas, the magazine opted to shoot its Fall 2011 fashion feature on our property, too. In addition, photos from One Thousand Ocean-hosted events continue to be frequently published in the magazine," Telchin pointed out.

"One Thousand Ocean is no stranger to great media coverage. Two episodes of HGTV's 'Selling New York' with the Kleiers featured segments at the building. Additionally, One Thousand Ocean has been shown on 'Access Hollywood,' not to mention its scene in the 'Parker' film," he said. Telchin believes the media exposure is well deserved. "This is truly a unique building in a one-of-a-kind location, at the gateway to world-class Boca Raton. It is home to discerning residents who could live anywhere, but they chose One Thousand Ocean."

The five women selected by Boca Raton magazine for its "Housewives" article include Lisa LaPato, Lauri Katz-Parker, Elise Berrin, Tammy Saltzman and Vanessa Sidi. The issue will be on newsstands in late April.

Only four of 53 residences remain at One Thousand Ocean, including two customizable, designer-ready penthouses, and two move-in ready residences. Prices are from approximately $3,000,000 to $12,950,000. For further information, visit www.onethousandocean.com or call (561) 869-5000 to arrange a private showing.
