  • Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, NC (1888PressRelease) January 14, 2012 - Old Chatham Golf Club of Durham, NC is pleased to announce the launch of their Annual Membership, introduced by the Old Chatham Board of Directors. The prestigious club is a Members-only golf course, so the new Annual Membership option will provide an opportunity for more golfers to take advantage of the Club's championship golf course and luxurious Clubhouse.

Annual Membership at Old Chatham will be limited to only 10 resident equivalent members at one time. Annual Resident Members can join the Club for a 12-month period for a $5,000 annual fee and Resident member monthly dues. At the end of the 12 months, the member can opt to renew the Annual Membership.

When asked about the new annual membership, Membership Director, Jill Marino replied: "This Annual Membership is ideally suited for executives who are working in the area for a few years or for those who have children attending a local university and are looking for a great golf experience when they come to visit."

For those business executives, the Old Chatham golf course offers a peaceful environment to conduct business, while the Clubhouse offers both formal and informal amenities such as a private library and elegant locker room.

The Annual Membership is also suited for someone who simply wishes to commit to a golf club one year at a time.

Associate Member Candidates (individuals under 40 years of age) may also apply for Annual Membership. These individuals will be able to join for an annual fee of $2,500 and monthly dues of $400.

If an Annual Member later decides to join Old Chatham Golf Club as a permanent member, the Club will honor 50 percent of the Annual Membership fee towards the Club's initiation fee.

    About Old Chatham Golf Club
Established in 2001, Old Chatham was a vision of Triangle area business leaders. Their dream of a golf course central to Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill, yet tucked away from the region's rapid growth, became a reality. Offering 400 acres of rolling hills rich in native pines and oaks and just minutes from the I-40 corridor, Old Chatham is unlike any golf course in the Triangle.

Designed by the renowned golf course architect, Rees Jones, the idea behind the Club is to let nature define it. The lines from tee to green remain very similar to what they were before ground was ever broken. This provides members and guests a place to escape to the tranquility of an uncrowded retreat, characterized by one-of-a-kind hospitality with an emphasis on quality and comfort.
