  • (1888PressRelease) February 02, 2014 - Inspired by the Tom's 1 for 1 model, inspire girls to gain confidence as they learn more about fitness and get ready for prom!

That time of year is fast approaching. That time of year every teen girl wonders who they'll go with and what they will wear. That special time of year is Prom. Along with the pressure of what to wear and who to go with, there is the added pressure to look every girl's best. Prom often leads girls looking for ways to slim down before prom. Teens spend hours online trying to find special detox diets and ways to starve themselves to reach their idea of perfect. This is where the idea of prom fitness was inspired. It was taken as an opportunity to help girls learn more about themselves, gain self-esteem and to show them ways to workout without having a gym membership and or a lot of time. O2 MAX Fitness and Operation Prom would like to introduce Sponsor-A-Girl. During the month of February, "Sponsor-A-Girl" will launch to help teen girls with their nutrition, fitness, and fashion. Each girl will not only look their best, but they will also feel their best by helping girls get a boost of self-confidence, self-image, and self-esteem.

Each girl will receive help in every aspect imaginable to make sure that their night is a fairytale extravaganza. Sponsors can either purchase the MAXbox or Accelerator program to take part in Sponsor-A-Girl. The MAXbox program gives client's personalized workouts, weekly trainer check-ins, monthly video/phone sessions, a MAXbox package that includes tasty and healthy treats and some awesome O2 MAX benefits and discounts. The Accelerator is a 10 day program which includes daily workouts, daily nutrition guides, and online check-ins with trainers. Each girl will be gifted the Accelerator, which includes all the benefits that the sponsor receives and as an added bonus they will receive fashion tips to dress their special body type for Prom.

O2 MAX Fitness has teamed up with Operation Prom to help girls who couldn't otherwise afford the fitness they need. O2 MAX Fitness is donating some of the proceeds from Sponsor-A-Girl to Operation Prom. Operation Prom began in 2005, assisting low-income students who want to attend Prom by providing them with a free Prom dress or tuxedo rental. Since 2005, they have flourished to help students in financial need, as well as those that are homeless, sick or disabled.

With the recent awareness of bullying, Health.com shared that obese teens are 65% more likely to be bullied. Since these teens are bullied because of their weight, they further purge themselves deeper by using food as a comfort measure. Which results in low self-esteem, body-image and self-worth. These teens usually don't have any idea how to become healthy. O2 MAX Fitness is hoping to raise awareness to these teens that need help with not just becoming healthy on the outside but also on the inside.

"Many girls don't have the resources available to help them get ready for Prom and they end up missing the opportunity. This is the perfect time for a self-confidence booster and to show them what they can do. They need someone to inspire and guide them. The Sponsor-A-Girl campaign was created to show what a healthy lifestyle is before they go to college and to continue making smart and healthy choices as they get older," explains Karen Jashinsky, CEO & Founder of O2 MAX Fitness. "Prom is the perfect time to show these girls just that."

O2 MAX Fitness has been involved in many teen's lives. Miss Westchester 2012 and Miss Westchester 2013 used O2 MAX Fitness to help them be at the top of their game during their pageants. "The program was very helpful and easy to use. I was able to get a great workout in the time I needed to," says Brittany Smith, Miss Westchester 2013 describing her experience with the Accelerator Program, which is one of the programs that is offered to O2 MAX clients.

Sponsor-A-Girl kicks off during the month of February. For every MAXbox or Accelerator program purchased, a girl will receive a program to kick-up her fitness routine. Sponsor-A-Girl is designed to help her look and feel her best. For more information, please visit www.o2maxfitness.com and www.helpprom.org.
