  • Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater, FL (1888PressRelease) November 08, 2019 - The luncheon will be held at the Fort Harrison, the iconic religious retreat of the Church of Scientology Flag Service Organization, starting at 11:30AM on the 20th.

“I love coming to the Charity Coalition Luncheons” said Veronica Walters, founder of the Walters Academy of Entrepreneurship and member of the Charity Coalition. “Charity leaders have very specific needs and the coalition brings us together and fosters collaboration. It is a very unique set-up made for charities and volunteers.”

The Tampa Bay Charity Coalition was created to bring charities together and give an opportunity for local charities to connect their efforts of improving the community. It now includes well over 200 charities.

Inseparable to the charity coalition luncheon is the educational segment, where charities get tools that can assist them in reaching their charitable purposes. This month’s educational segment will be on gaining community support through volunteers and donors.

“Per research, nearly one third of annual giving occurs in December,” said Chevrot. “We want to assist charities to take advantage of the holiday season to grow their volunteer base and gain more supporters.”

The luncheon will feature a fall-inspired luncheon with dishes such a butternut and pumpkin bisque, seared smoke ham and apple gravy or roasted thyme orange chicken. Pumpkin and pecan pies will end the meal. There is no cost to attend the luncheon but guests must RSVP.

As Scientology’s founder L. Ron Hubbard wrote: “What is important is how much service you can give the world and how much you can get done and how much better you can make things. These are important things. These are all that are important.”
