  • (1888PressRelease) October 27, 2015 - To quote the festival's organizers who are expecting up to 60,000 people through the admission gates this year, Clockenflap is about 'music at its most inspirational and art at its most accessible'. It is three days where music, art, people, community spirit, imagination and creativity come together in a fun and welcoming atmosphere.

Now in its eighth year, the venue for Clockenflap is West Kowloon Cultural District, a delightful harbourside setting with the dramatic Hong Kong skyline and iconic Victoria Harbour providing a spectacular backdrop. Musical legend Nile Rodgers called it the best festival setting he's ever played.

The music line up for this year's festival includes New Order, The Libertines and Ride from the UK, Love Psychedelico and Shugo Tokumaru from Japan, Mercury Rev, Blackalicious and Earth, Wind & Fire Experience Ft. Al McKay from the US and Hong Kong artists HOCC, Ocean Lam, Rock N Rolla, Jing Wong, King Ly Chee, Subyub Lee, Life Was All Silence, OWK and The Weathering.

The visual arts program, a key component of Clockenflap, will feature locally-sourced and internationally renowned artists. The performing arts program, too, promises a host of diverse performances. Other attractions at the festival will include screenings of local and international indie shorts and animations, a Silent Disco with free-to-loan headphones available, the Clockencraft Handmade market, festival merchandise for sale, family activities and a range of cuisine.

The Clockenflap venue can be reached from the stylish Hong Kong student housing at Campus Hong Kong by regular bus service or by taking the MTR (Mass Transit Railway) to Kowloon Station, from where it's a 10 minute walk to the festival.

A complimentary shuttle bus operates between the Campus Hong Kong student apartments in Tsuen Wan Road and the nearby Tsuen Wan and Tsuen Wan West MTR stations.
