His career spanning over three decades has been recognized with several awards. These are: Calicut Medical College Alumni Oration, G. K. Warrier Memorial Oration, National Hypertension Oration, 'Netaji Oration', Fellowships of Indian College of Physicians and of International Medical Science Academy.

    He has to his credit 72 publications in journals including two Landmark studies on Vitamin D deficiency and SLE. He has authored 'Doctor's Pocket Companion' published by Jaypee Brothers, and a 'Handbook on Health Care of the Elderly', chapters for textbooks of Medicine and Hematology, books on healthcare - 'Arogyam Janangalilekku' and 'Jeevithasailiyum Arogyasamrakshanavum'.
