  • (1888PressRelease) August 25, 2011 - Northern France constitutes the foremost high-tech cluster for the logistics sector in France, north of Paris. The Nord-Pas-de-Calais region (in the north of the country) is considered to be one of the most attractive in Europe for logistics investment: situated mid-way between London, Paris and Antwerp, Nord-Pas-de-Calais is where the Channel Tunnel terminates, on the French side. The region has many excellent ports, including Calais, Boulogne and Dunkirk. Besides, a wide-gauge canal will soon link it to the Paris region - the outcome of the Seine-Nord European project.

The Northern France pavilion, organised by the Chamber of Commerce of Nord-Pas-de-Calais, will accommodate a range of companies and related entities from the region: their representatives will join the 300 exhibitors at Transport & Logistics 2011.

The trade show will focus on pertinent, sector-specific themes such as multimodal transport, green logistics, ports and extended gateways, hybrid trucks and the silent supply chain (an expression used to refer to situations where the goods are delivered in the right quantity and in the right condition, thus meeting the customer's expectations, so that there are no complaints or other issues to deal with).

Renowned knowledge centres and media partners will also provide support by setting up an extensive programme at the trade fair, which will comprise numerous free seminars, together with networking opportunities and conferences.

The following companies and agencies will be present on Northern France's pavilion (at Hall 2, Stand A2013), in Antwerp.
