North Texas Derby Revolution to play exhibition bout Saturday, September 10th
North Texas Derby Revolution, a new flat track roller derby league, is making it's first appearance on September 10th in Denton, TX. This is the first official exhibition bout for NTDR!
- (1888PressRelease) August 23, 2011 - North Texas Derby Revolution, a new flat track roller derby league, is scheduled to play an exhibition bout on Saturday, September 10th at Lonestar Indoor Sports Complex in Denton, TX. Opening for Dallas Deception, a local men's roller derby league, NTDR is making its very first public appearance and is utilizing its three existing home teams, the Muertas Locas, Hickory Street Hooligans, and Main Street Mafia, to create two exhibition teams for the event. The teams will play against one another in 2 twenty-minute halves.
NTDR is pleased to announce the names of the exhibition teams: the Fighting Unicorns and the Battling Mermaids.
With its inception in May 2011, NTDR has stayed true to its main goal: to have fun! Most of the skaters who are participating in the exhibition bout are not just new to derby, but are new to skating in general! It might not be pretty, and it might not be great, but all of the skaters plan to have fun regardless.
The bout will be held at Lonestar Indoor Sports Complex at 1800 Shady Oaks Drive, Denton, TX, 76205. Doors will open at 7pm for those who purchase VIP tickets ($20) and doors for general admission ($12) will open at 7:15pm. The seating is first come, first serve, so it is encouraged that attendees purchase VIP tickets in order to grab the best seats in the house. All tickets purchased online or those who present a ticket at the door are guaranteed entrance. Some tickets may be available the day of the event, but it is suggested that attendees do not wait until the last minute because the event may sell out.
The event is BYOB, no glass will be allowed.
