  • Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, NC (1888PressRelease) May 03, 2014 - James Chambers, President of the North Carolina Executive Roundtable (NCER), announced that Ken Sibley, Attorney with Myers, Bigel, Sibley & Sajovec, P.A., will discuss key issues in patent law in his talk "Patent Law." The lecture will take place May 9th, at the 2014 NCER meeting of members at Prestonwood Country Club in Cary at 11:45am. The meeting is open to members and invited guests, and the cost is $30.00.

    Sibley, an attorney with Myers Bigel Sibley & Sajovec, P.A., a full-service intellectual property firm with an emphasis on patent law, and is the largest independent patent law firm in North Carolina, will discuss some basic issues in patent law that every businessperson should be aware of and the recent changes in patent law and its application.

    Ken Sibley has been practicing intellectual property law since 1985, and focuses his practice in biotechnology, chemical and biomedical device areas. Ken received his Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from Lycoming College, his Master of Arts from the University of Rochester, and his Juris Doctor from Duke University. He has been a Senior Lecturing Fellow at the Duke University School of Law since 1995 and an Adjunct Associate Professor of the Practice in the Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University from 2007-2010, where he teaches courses on patent law and practice.

    In 2004, Ken was ranked as the #1 patent and intellectual property lawyer in North Carolina by Business North Carolina magazine, and in 2005 was inducted into the magazine's Legal Elite Hall of Fame.
