“Since I was a young man working on ocean rescue teams and teaching swimming lessons, it has been my mission to help people to become safer in the water. The #1 cause of death in children 4 and under is drowning! I am deeply committed to the mission of preventing needless and tragic loss of children that are not familiar with water safety and how to respond if they find themselves in a treacherous situation in the water. Njswim is 100% committed to providing and improving vital water safety education of children and adults alike. As an organization, we are dedicated to increasing awareness and saving lives. At Njswim, we feel that water safety education is an absolute priority. Drowning is preventable if the right resources are provided to reduce the risks.” Says Oehme.
