  • (1888PressRelease) November 11, 2013 - Most people who know anything about Government Energy Aggregation (GEA) typically think of it as a means to obtain lower electric rates for residents. But, Fritz Kreiss, President of Alternative Utility Services, Inc. has a different vision of what a GEA can do to improve local economies and strengthen communities.

"Government or Municipal Energy Aggregation is more than just getting lower electric pricing," said Kreiss. "Cities often don't recognize the potential GEA has for improving their local economy and building a better community. Or, they're not aware of how GEA can be a vehicle for change."

Kreiss added, "This year's conference theme is 'Navigating Recovery and Renewal'. Now, more than ever, New Jersey communities need ways to bring earned income back into the hands of their local residents. The ideas I'm bringing to the conference are intended to do just that."

Kreiss will be discussing his ideas in a vendor solution session; Government Energy Aggregation for Developing A Local Sustainable Economy, at the New Jersey State League of Municipalities (NJLM) 98th Annual Conference. It is scheduled for Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at 1:00pm, Room 306.

Alternative Utility Services (AUS) will also be hosting an exhibit in Booth #1832 at the conference.

The NJLM Annual Conference is the largest gathering of public officials in the United States. It will be held at the Atlantic City Convention Center. The dates of the conference are Tuesday, November 19 through Thursday, November 21, 2013.

The New Jersey State League of Municipalities is a voluntary association created to help communities do a better job of self-government through pooling information resources and brain power. It has been serving local officials throughout New Jersey since 1915.

Alternative Utility Services, Inc., established in 1993 is a licensed energy consulting company providing energy brokerage and aggregation services nationwide.
