(1888PressRelease) August 22, 2015 - Bhagalpur: NIIT Limited, a global leader in skills and talent development, unveiled a multi-skill training centre under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) at R. R. Sinha Road, near Navyug Vidyalaya, Bhagalpur. The centre was inaugurated by Hon'ble PM Narendra Modi through web during Arra visit on 18th August. Dr. N. K Yadav, MLC Bhagalpur; Dy. Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana is a unique initiative by the Government of India that aims to offer 24 lakh Indian youth meaningful, industry relevant, skill based training. In line with the vision of PMKVY, the Multi-Skill Training Centre will help youth in Bhagalpur chart ambitious careers by opting for the programs that suits their aptitude. The centre will impart training across three sectors in BFSI, Retail and IT/ITES.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Bhaskar Ballave, Head Sponsored and Government Business, NIIT Yuva Jyoti Ltd., said, "The multi-skill training centre under PMKVY reiterates NIIT's commitment to reach out to a vast audience whose need for skill development has largely remained unaddressed. Through this initiative we aim to transform the unskilled Youth in the state into readily employable global professionals".

Hon'ble Dr. N. K Yadav, MLC, Bhagalpur, said, "PMKVY aims to leverage the potential of India's demographic dividend by providing skill-training to the youth and making each one of them employable. NIIT's multi-skilling centre at Bhagalpur is a step in this direction."

The Multi-Skill Training Centre will enhance employability skills of students by offering occupational, communication and professional life skills to make them industry ready. The students will also enjoy the benefits of certification and placement assistance. This initiative will expose youth to the enormous opportunities available in BFSI, Retail and IT/ITES sectors, the skill sets required in these sectors and the existing skill gaps. Furthermore, NIIT will help youth to achieve their dreams through its unique training methodology, course content and infrastructure.
