  • (1888PressRelease) July 16, 2011 - The Hudson, NH based metal fabricating company, Gilchrist Metal Fabricating Company (GMFCO), has recently taken to the oval track as a unique recruiting tool to attract welding help. More specifically, GMFCO and GoGreenRacing.net (GGR) have partnered to help the provider of metal fabricating around the country reach out to a broader base of potential welders.

President of GMFCO, Jack Gilchrist, explains, "We chose to work with Go Green Racing because it's a New England based organization that - like GMFCO - is experiencing strong growth, attracts excellent talent, and is concerned about the environment." He continues, "In the past, we converted to a fabricating facility 100% powered by wind energy credits, making this involvement with GGR even more appropriate."

With metal fabricating clients from around the world, Gilchrist explains that sponsoring a car at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway seemed like a creative and potentially effective way to reach out to a large audience. With that in mind, he believes it to be a great opportunity to find skilled welders looking for a job opportunity closely aligned with the precision and performance of the sport. As Gilchrist says, "A large part of the audience interested in racing is also interested in the high performance machinery that makes it possible. So naturally, it attracts quite a lot of talent that's highly sought after for [GMFCO's] industry."

The Go Green Racing (GGR) #39 Ford Mustang will be driven by Matt Frahm; Matt will be racing with GMFCO as a sponsor in the NASCAR Nationwide series with the debut race set for July 16th at New Hampshire Motor Speedway for the running of the New England 200. Following NHMS GGR and Matt Frahm will again be boasting GMFCO on board the Ford Mustang at the O'reilly Raceway Park in Indianapolis, Indiana on July 30th.

Matt Frahm began racing in his early teens at Star Speedway of Epping, NH in a weekly Hobby stock division. From there Matt continued on as he made the move to the 350 super modified division competing weekly at Star. Matt had won his first race, and gained rookie of the year honors and the third place point's position in his first season. Since then Frahm moved on to full fender racing beginning at Star Speedway in the pro stock division, and later on moving up to the Pro All Stars Series tour (New England's premier traveling pro stock series). Matt also had the opportunity to compete in the K&N Pro east series in Martinsville, VA as well as competing at NHMS. Now a new challenge lies ahead as Frahm looks to jump behind the wheel of GGR's Nationwide car along with GMFCO.

With corporate offices in Old Orchard Beach, ME, Go Green Racing operates their shop out of North Carolina. Currently, GGR competes under a full season schedule as a NASCAR Nationwide Series Team with car #39. For more information on GGR, visit http://www.gogreenracing.net
