  • New York, NY (1888PressRelease) April 25, 2011 - Creators of the latest job search service, Jobamabob, formally announce the start of this alternative way for up and coming or recent college graduates to find jobs and internships. The website, jobamabob.com, aims to take on the job search challenge for you, delivering the latest job listings right to your email.

According to the site, Jobamabob promises "Kick-ass jobs. Handpicked by humans." The slogan promotes their mission to tailor the job search specifically to the user. Users select locations and job markets they wish Jobamabob to target. Locations include L.A., New York City, Boston, San Francisco, Chicago, and Cleveland. Job Markets include Marketing/Public Relations, Accounting/Finance, Non-Profit, Sales, and Alternative Jobs. There is also the option of choosing "any location" and "any type of job." Once selected, Jobamabob generates a weekly email newsletter that provides exciting and innovative opportunities and listings, and sends them to that specific user.

Co-founders Ben Philabaum and Meredith Shoenberger, seniors at Miami University of Ohio, started Jobamabob as a response to the lack of attention to job-searching college students.

"The best part about Jobamabob is that it isn't another job search algorithm. Each job is individually sought out and approved by our team in order to ensure the quality and relevance of the listing." says Philabaum.

Another one of the main issues that Jobamabob aims to target is the amount of time that students can spend on locating appropriate jobs for their age and work experience.

Schoenberger says, "We understand that one of the biggest problems with landing a job is finding it in the first place. Jobamabob allows you to reinvest the time that you would be wasting by looking for a job into actually applying for one."

Currently, Jobamabob is serving over 200 college students, with numbers growing quickly. Their market mainly includes the student population of Miami University, however, the company plans to expand to other University publics.

Students like Danny Sauter, a senior at Miami University, are a testament to the growing reputation of Jobamabob and the type of impact it is making, "One week in using Jobamabob, and I'm seriously impressed. I wish I would have known about this earlier. I'm telling everyone I know about this site!"
