  • New York, NY (1888PressRelease) September 20, 2011 - Creative performer and New Jersey native Heather Braverman is working to carve her niche in the world of entertainment. Heather Braverman has had a real glow and passion for entertaining since the age of 5. Her earliest experience was in an off-Broadway musical, The People Garden. Heather's latest performance is in the film adaptation of Wendy Mass' young adult novel Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life. Heather plays the part of Samantha, a neighborhood fashionista who helps Jeremy and his friend Lizzy find the lost keys to a priceless treasure chest.

Not only has Heather performed in musicals off-Broadway, but has toured New York and New Jersey elementary and middle schools sharing her gift of singing and her talent for entertaining in plays with positive messages for students. One of Heather's musical roles as Samantha in The New Kid - a middle school musical touring New York and New Jersey - allowed Heather the chance to sing "Just Be Yourself," encouraging younger school-aged kids to avoid cliques and bullying one another.

At 14-years-old, Heather Braverman's passion to become a teen entertainer has earned Heather career highlights such as singing alongside Leann Rimes on Disney's Macy's Day Parade float as Princess Jasmine and a 2-year performance as Felicity in the musical "Circle of Friends" at the American Girl Place in New York City. Heather has even had several opportunities to act on national television including roles on Law and Order: Criminal Intent, Law and Order: SVU, One Life to Live, Guiding Light and numerous commercials.

Other than her role in Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life - set for an early 2012 release - Heather also played the role of Crickett in the Hoboken Film Festival award nominated film Crickett and the Little Girl Power: a film about five young girls pooling their talents to fight crime.

Heather's talent goes beyond her acting appearances and touring. Heather also plays the guitar and ukulele, sings and writes songs. Heather takes pleasure in playing for leisure, but ultimately aspires to incorporate her instruments, vocals and flair for songwriting into her career as an overall entertainer.

Recent projects for Heather Braverman include a big part as organization spokesperson for the Food Allergy Initiative. Both Heather and her sister live with very serious food allergies. For this national charity event to increase awareness, Heather is playing her part in distributing information across New York and New Jersey high schools to help raise money and awareness of severe food allergies.
