  • Newark, NJ (1888PressRelease) March 02, 2011 - The 19th Annual Office Developers' & Investors' Night has been scheduled for March 14, 2011 by the Industrial and Office Brokers Association of the New York Area, Inc. (IOREBA). The event will take place at the Marriott at Glenpointe in Teaneck.

"At this event, we sell display tables to developers and vendors to raise money for our real estate scholarship fund that we created at Monmouth University's School of Real Estate," said Sean Brady, president of IOREBA and Senior Director of Cushman & Wakefield of New Jersey, Inc. "We, as an organization, want to give back to our industry with this scholarship.

"The future of our industry will partially lie within the young men and women who get this money, and it will help prepare the best and brightest and give them the tools they will need to be successful in the current and future real estate cycles," Brady said.

Featured speaker at the event will be Tracye McDaniel, newly appointed President and CEO of Choose New Jersey, a private nonprofit organization with the mission of fostering economic growth in the state. McDaniel, formerly Executive Vice President of the Greater Houston Partnership in Texas, will discuss New Jersey's ongoing plans to attract and retain businesses in the state. She brings more than 23 years of executive experience to her new post, including cabinet-level positions in three gubernatorial administrations.

"Every year, the Annual Office Developers' & Investors' Night is one of the most important networking events in the metropolitan area for the commercial real estate industry," said Brady. "This year is no exception. As the economy emerges from the downturn, this will be a key opportunity for our members to re-connect, to meet the new investors that have emerged during these times, and to hear the thoughts of Tracye McDaniel, one of the state's key economic development leaders."

An IOREBA executive meeting will take place from 4 to 5 p.m., with concurrent display table set-up. Cocktails and networking will take place from 5 to 6:30 p.m., followed by a buffet dinner and the program from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Individual attendee registration can be completed online. Before March 10, the fee is $95 for IOREBA members and $120 for non-members.
