David F. Ratliff, M.D. is a General Orthopedic / Hand and Upper Extremity Surgeon. He relocates here to Buffalo after completing his Medical Doctorate and residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, NY. Dr. Ratliff completed his fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at The University of Pittsburgh, where he was involved with the care of the Pittsburgh Penguins and Pittsburgh Steelers.
"Being an engineering student for my undergrad helped me to become a problem solver and think through the intricate nature of hand and wrist pain issues… I enjoy helping people go from a difficult situation to regaining the things they like to do in life." States Dr. Ratliff.
Dr. Ratliff is a candidate member of professional organizations including the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS) and The American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH) for whom he has presented at national meetings, most recently for Dupuytren's Disease.
Dr. Ratliff is interested in all types of orthopedic problems with a specialty in problems of the upper extremity, both traumatic and degenerative. He has taken care of all types of patients, from congenital problems in infants to chronic issues in adults. Dr. Ratliff's office hours will be based out of the Northtowns Orthopedics Kenmore and Williamsville offices. He performs surgery at the Ambulatory Surgery Center of Western New York, Kenmore Mercy Hospital, Millard Fillmore Surgery Center, and Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital.
